using skills\Precautions for use
When using the fiber laser cutting machine to process objects, it is necessary to learn the skills of using and maintaining the fiber laser cutting machine equipment, so as to give full play to the efficacy of the equipment and improve the working efficiency of the equipment to the greatest extent.
How to use and maintain the fiber laser cutting machine:
1.Check the steel strip frequently to ensure that it is taut. Otherwise, if something goes wrong in operation, it may hurt people and even lead to death. The steel belt looks like a small thing, and the problem is still a bit serious.
2.Check the straightness of the track and the verticality of the machine every six months, and maintain and debug it in time if it is abnormal. If you don't do this, the cutting effect may not be very good, and the error will increase, which will affect the cutting quality. This is the top priority and must be done.
3.Vacuum the dust and dirt in the machine once a week, and all electrical cabinets should be tightly closed and dust proof.
4.Each guide rail should be cleaned frequently to eliminate dust and other sundries to ensure the normal operation of the equipment. The rack should be wiped frequently and lubricated to ensure lubrication without sundries. The guide rail should be cleaned and lubricated frequently, and the motor should also be cleaned and lubricated frequently, so that the machine can move better and cut more accurately when moving, and the quality of the cut products will be improved.

If it is found that the performance of the equipment has obviously decreased, it should be repaired and adjusted in time.
How to adjust the parameters of fiber laser cutting machine according to different cutting materials and thicknesses?
Influence of cutting material type
carbon steel
For carbon steel, oxygen can be used as an auxiliary gas when cutting because of its high absorption rate of laser. Oxygen can react violently with carbon steel at high temperature, releasing extra heat, which is helpful to the cutting process.
When cutting thin carbon steel (such as 1-3mm), the laser power can be set at about 800-1200W, and the cutting speed can reach 40-60 mm/s.. With the increase of thickness, for example, cutting 6-10mm carbon steel, the laser power may need to be increased to 1500-2500W, and the cutting speed will be reduced to 20-30mm/s accordingly.
stainless steel
Stainless steel has poor thermal conductivity, but high reflectivity. Nitrogen is usually used as an auxiliary gas when cutting stainless steel, because nitrogen can prevent stainless steel from being oxidized during cutting and ensure the quality of cutting surface.
For 2-4mm thick stainless steel, the laser power is generally 1000-1500W, and the cutting speed is about 30-40 mm/s.. When the thickness reaches 8-12mm, the laser power may be increased to 2000-3000W, and the cutting speed will be reduced to 15-25 mm/s..
Aluminium and aluminium alloys
Aluminum has a high reflectivity to laser and a low melting point. Nitrogen is often used as an auxiliary gas when cutting aluminum and aluminum alloys.
For thinner aluminum materials (such as 1-3mm), the laser power can be set at 600-1000W and the cutting speed is about 50-80 mm/s. When cutting thick aluminum alloy (such as 6-10mm), the laser power may need 1200-2000W, and the cutting speed will be reduced to 20-35 mm/s..
Copper and Copper Alloy
Copper's high reflectivity and high thermal conductivity make it difficult in laser cutting. Generally, high-power laser is used, and oxygen or air is used as auxiliary gas.
For 2-4mm thick copper material, the laser power may reach 1500-2500W, and the cutting speed is about 20-30 mm/s.. For thicker copper, higher power and slower cutting speed may be needed.
Influence of cutting material thickness
Thin material (less than 3mm)
Thin materials are relatively easy to cut by laser. Due to the small thickness of the material, the laser beam can penetrate the material quickly. At this time, the laser power can be relatively low, generally between 600 and 1200 W, depending on the material type.
The cutting speed can be set faster, for example, for carbon steel, aluminum alloy and other materials, the cutting speed can reach 40-80 mm/s. The auxiliary gas pressure can be kept at a moderate level, such as oxygen pressure of 0.6-0.9MPa (for carbon steel) and nitrogen pressure of 0.8-1.2MPa (for aluminum alloy, etc.).
Medium thickness material (3-10mm)
With the increase of material thickness, higher laser energy is needed to penetrate the material. The laser power is usually between 1200 and 3000 W.
The cutting speed will be reduced accordingly, about 20-40 mm/s. The pressure of auxiliary gas may need to be increased according to the material, such as the oxygen pressure is increased to 0.8-1.2MPa when cutting carbon steel and the nitrogen pressure is increased to 1.2-1.6MPa when cutting stainless steel.
Thick material (greater than 10mm)
The cutting of thick materials requires higher laser power, which may need more than 3000W, and it is necessary to ensure that the performance of the laser generator can output high power stably.
The cutting speed will be very slow, generally around 10-20 mm/s. The pressure of auxiliary gas also needs to be further adjusted according to the material to ensure good cutting quality and slag discharge effect.
Adjusting the parameters of the fiber laser cutting machine is a process of comprehensively considering the material type and thickness, and at the same time, it is necessary to optimize the parameters repeatedly in combination with the actual cutting effect, such as notch quality and slag hanging. In actual operation, it can be set according to the basic parameter range of material and thickness, and then further fine-tuned by trial cutting to achieve the best cutting effect.
How to adjust the focal length of fiber laser cutting machine when cutting different materials?
Besides material type and thickness, what other factors will affect the parameter setting of fiber laser cutting machine?
What are the precautions for daily maintenance of fiber laser cutting machine?
Equipment cleaning
External surface cleaning
After work every day, clean and soft rags should be used to wipe the external surface of the equipment, including the fuselage, control cabinet and other parts. This can effectively remove dust and oil stains and keep the appearance of the equipment clean and tidy. For some stubborn stains, a small amount of neutral detergent can be used to wipe them, but it is necessary to avoid the detergent from entering the equipment.
When cleaning, pay attention to the corners and gaps of the equipment, which are easy to shelter evil people and shelter evil people. For example, dust is easy to accumulate around the vent of the control cabinet, which may affect the heat dissipation performance of the equipment and need to be cleaned.
Cleaning of cutting head
Cutting head is one of the key components of fiber laser cutting machine. In daily maintenance, always check the protective lens of the cutting head. If dust or slight stains are found, use a special lens cleaning paper or a cleaning stick to dip a small amount of cleaning liquid for wiping.
Wipe the lens gently, and wipe it from the center to the edge of the lens to avoid scratching the lens. Because the scratches on the lens will affect the laser transmission and focusing effect, thus reducing the cutting quality. At the same time, we should also pay attention to check the alignment of the optical path of the cutting head, which can be checked by the optical path detection function or professional tools provided by the equipment. If the optical path deviation is found, it should be adjusted in time.
Table cleaning
Metal chips and wastes on the workbench need to be cleaned in time. These chips will not only affect the smoothness of the next cutting, but also may enter the transmission mechanism of the equipment, leading to equipment failure. You can use a vacuum cleaner or a brush to clean up the debris.
When cleaning the workbench, you should also check whether the workbench surface is scratched or damaged. If the surface of the workbench is uneven, it will affect the stability of material placement and then affect the cutting accuracy.
Gas and cooling water systems
Gas system inspection
Check whether the gas pressure is within the appropriate range every day. Different cutting materials and processes require different gas pressures, for example, when oxygen is used for cutting carbon steel, the pressure is generally around 0.7-1.2MPa; When cutting stainless steel with nitrogen, the pressure is about 1.2-1.6MPa.
Check whether there is any leakage in the gas pipeline, and check whether there are bubbles at the joint of the pipeline by smearing soapy water. If leakage is found, the seal should be repaired or replaced in time to ensure the stability of gas supply.
Cooling water system inspection
Check whether the water level of cooling water is within the normal range, and generally ensure that the water level of cooling water tank is higher than the minimum water level line. If the water level is too low, it may lead to overheating of the laser generator and affect its performance and service life.
Check whether the circulating system of cooling water works normally, including whether the water pump works normally and whether the water pipes are blocked or leaking. If the water pipe is found to be leaking, it should be replaced in time; If the water pump has abnormal sound or does not work, it should be repaired or replaced in time.
Equipment operating environment
The fiber laser cutting machine should be placed in a dry and well-ventilated environment. The ambient humidity should be kept in an appropriate range, generally recommended to be between 40% and 60%. Excessive humidity may cause the equipment to get damp and lead to electrical failure.
Avoid direct sunlight and drastic temperature changes. The ideal temperature range of equipment operation is usually between 18-25ºC. Too high or too low temperature will affect the performance and stability of equipment. At the same time, it is also necessary to prevent the equipment from electromagnetic interference and avoid placing it near large motors, transformers and other equipment.
Write a detailed daily maintenance manual of fiber laser cutting machine.

For stains that are difficult to wipe, dip a small amount of neutral detergent in the rag, gently wipe it and then dry it with a clean rag to prevent the detergent from flowing into the equipment.
Focus on cleaning the surface of the control cabinet, including the operation panel, display screen and other parts to ensure clear sight and flexible operation buttons. At the same time, clean the vent of the control cabinet to prevent dust blockage from affecting heat dissipation.
(2) Maintenance of cutting head
Check the protective lens of the cutting head.
Gently remove the protective lens cover of the cutting head.
Observe whether there is dust or stain on the lens surface. If there is slight dust, use a special lens cleaning paper or cleaning stick to wipe it gently from the center to the edge of the lens. If the stain is stubborn, dip a small amount of special cleaning liquid in the cleaning rod before wiping, and ensure that there is no residual detergent and impurities on the lens surface after wiping.
Check whether the lens is scratched or damaged. If so, replace the lens in time.
Check the optical alignment of the cutting head.
Turn on the optical path detection function of the equipment (different equipment may operate in different ways, please refer to the equipment manual).
Observe the test results. If the displayed light path is deviated, adjust the light path according to the method provided in the equipment operation manual. Generally, it involves adjusting the angle or position of the cutting head, and the adjustment process needs careful operation to avoid further damage to the optical path system.
(3) Cleaning the workbench
Use a vacuum cleaner or a brush to clean up the metal chips and wastes on the workbench. When cleaning, pay attention to the corners and gaps of the workbench to ensure that there is no residual debris.
Check whether the surface of the workbench is smooth, with or without scratches or pits. If the surface of the workbench is found to be damaged, it should be repaired or recorded in time and notified to the maintenance personnel for treatment, so as not to affect the material placement and cutting accuracy.
(4) gas system inspection
Check the gas pressure
Check the gas pressure gauge on the equipment to confirm whether the pressure of auxiliary gases such as oxygen and nitrogen is within the range of process requirements. For example, when cutting carbon steel, the oxygen pressure is usually 0.7-1.2MPa, and when cutting stainless steel, the nitrogen pressure is 1.2-1.6MPa. If the pressure is insufficient, check the gas supply source and adjust the pressure to an appropriate value.
Check the gas pipeline for leakage.
Apply soapy water to the joints of gas pipelines, valves and other parts, and observe whether there are bubbles. If bubbles are found, there is a gas leak here. Tighten the connection parts properly with tools such as wrenches. If there is still leakage, it may be necessary to replace the seal or notify professional maintenance personnel to handle it.
(5) cooling water system inspection
Check the cooling water level
Use the water level measuring tool to check the water level of the cooling water tank to ensure that the water level is within the normal range, which should generally be higher than the lowest water level line. If the water level is too low, open the water inlet of the water tank and add distilled water or special coolant to the appropriate water level, taking care not to exceed the highest water level line.
Check the cooling circulation system.
Start the cooling water pump, and observe whether the water pump runs smoothly, with or without abnormal noise or vibration.
Check whether there is water leakage in the cooling water pipeline, and check whether there are water stains or water drops in the water pipe joints, valves and water pipes themselves. If water leakage is found, close relevant equipment and valves, repair the leaking parts or replace water pipes.
Four, maintenance records
After each routine maintenance, the operator should fill in the maintenance record form carefully, and record the maintenance date, maintenance items, problems found and treatment. The maintenance record form should be kept properly, so as to query and trace the maintenance history of equipment in the future and provide reference for regular maintenance and fault diagnosis of equipment.
V. Matters needing attention
Before maintenance operation, be sure to turn off the power supply of the equipment, and wait for the equipment to completely stop running and cool before operation to avoid scalding and electric shock accidents.
When cleaning the lens, operate in strict accordance with the prescribed methods and tools to prevent the lens from being scratched or damaged.
When checking the gas system and cooling water system, if any abnormality is found and cannot be handled by itself, stop the operation immediately and notify the professional maintenance personnel for maintenance. Do not disassemble or repair the equipment blindly.
Regularly check the completeness of maintenance tools, such as whether the dishcloth is clean, whether the cleaning paper or cleaning stick is sufficient, whether the tools are damaged, etc., and replace or supplement the tools in time to ensure the smooth maintenance work.
